Big news from The 134 PAC

Ramon Rodgriguez -New Regional Director of the Big Bend Region

We are excited to share an important step forward as we continue building a stronger rural Texas, rooted in community and built on relationships.

We are proud to welcome Ramon Aranda Rodríguez as the new 134 PAC Regional Director for the Big Bend region, including Marfa and Presidio. Ramon currently serves as the outgoing Chair of the Presidio County Democratic Party.

We have worked alongside Ramon for several years, including at our recent Rural Texas Summit in Bastrop, where he served as a panelist. That gathering brought together leaders from across rural Texas to have honest conversations, build relationships, and begin shaping a shared path forward. Ramon has been part of that work, and he continues to show up with a deep commitment to his community and to rural organizing.

Ramon is a community leader, environmental advocate, and political organizer from Presidio County. He serves as a Project Manager for Big Bend Conservation Alliance and is the founder of Project Homeleaf, where he leads initiatives focused on green infrastructure, climate resilience, and environmental education across rural border communities. His work is grounded in public service, conservation, and grassroots organizing.

This new Regional Director role reflects the blueprint we began building in Bastrop. At its core, our goal is simple: build strong, lasting coalitions through regional and relational organizing. Because in rural Texas, relationships are the work. When we invest in local leadership and stay connected across counties, we build something that lasts.

In this role, Ramon will:

• Serve as a key liaison between The 134 PAC and counties in the Big Bend region

• Lead outreach, relationship building, and coordination with local county parties

• Identify organizers, leaders, and gaps in rural infrastructure

• Strengthen communication and collaboration across counties

• Help plan and execute regional initiatives

The 134 PAC will have a booth at the Texas Democratic Party Convention in Corpus Christi this June. We hope you will stop by, meet Ramon, meet our team, and learn more about the work we are building together.

From there, we will continue the momentum from Bastrop by hosting a regional rural summit in the Big Bend area later this year. This gathering will bring leaders and communities together to strengthen relationships, share resources, and continue growing a unified rural coalition across the region.

This is how we grow. Community by community. Region by region.

Join me in welcoming Ramon to our team. Be sure to follow our social media pages and sign up for our email list to stay connected, see what is ahead, and keep up with everything happening from the state convention through the rest of the year.
